Dennis is a trial lawyer with over 13 years of litigation experience in both state and federal court. His practice involves representing and advising clients in catastrophic personal injury, trucking, wrongful death, premises liability, construction defect, breach of contract, and misappropriation lawsuits.
Prior to joining the Casas Law Firm, P.C. as a Partner in the Austin/San Antonio office, Dennis represented a broad base of clients across Texas and the United States. Although his experience is primarily on the Plaintiff’s side of the Bar, Dennis was a defense lawyer for five years. Because of this experience, Dennis brings a unique perspective to representing his clients.
Moreover, prior to and while in law school, Dennis worked in management for two Fortune 500 companies managing sales and distribution channels with 40 direct reports and significant revenue responsibility. His business and management experience have proved invaluable to him in his law practice.
Dennis graduated from the University of Texas as Austin in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Minor in Philosophy where he made the Dean’s List. Dennis graduated in the top 20% of his law school class while working a full time job and clerking part time at a local law firm. He earned his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law in 2003. Dennis was on the Dean’s List all three years of law school in addition to being a Member of the South Texas College of Law Law Review, earning a merit scholarship, and being a member of the Phi Delta Phi Honors Fraternity. He also earned American Jurisprudence Awards in both Employment Law and Contracts.
In addition to his busy practice, Dennis is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Texas Law School PDC where he teaches Contracts and Torts in the Paralegal Certification Program. His hobbies include mountain biking, hiking, and trail running. He loves spending time with family and friends in the Texas Hill Country.
