Tim Dennison is a California licensed attorney and UK solicitor specializing in Intellectual Property, including Patents, Trademarks, Copyrights and Trade Secrets. Tim is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the state courts and Southern District of California and the Senior Courts of England and Wales.
Tim has helped both domestic and foreign clients with formation, intellectual property, corporate and business transactional matters. Additionally, he helps businesses and individuals build and manage their intellectual property portfolios and to determine both strategic opportunities for intellectual property protection as well as potential gaps in their current portfolios.
In between degrees Tim has worked extensively in the semiconductor capital equipment, robotic vision, inspection and manufacturing fields. He has had postings which have included domestic, European and Asian foreign resident assignments working with industrial, academic and governmental bodies. While based in Singapore, Tim had regional technical project management and major account management responsibilities for globally-known semiconductor industry leaders such as Intel, AMD, Anam AMKOR, TSMC, ASE and OSE.
Tim is an adjunct professor and supervising attorney at the Trademark Law School Clinic Certification Pilot Program at Thomas Jefferson School of Law. He an editor of the American Bar Association Science and Technology’s section focusing on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. He is also a frequent speaker at both law and business school presentations on the topic of intellectual property and its role in business.
Tim earned a Juris Doctorate cum laude from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, CA, an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Business, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ and professional certification in advanced project management (SCPM) from Stanford University.
Tim is a Registered Adult Staff member with the San Diego unit of the Young Marines, a community youth development program run with the assistance of local active duty Marines. He is also an adult volunteer with the San Diego Civic Youth Ballet and a soccer referee.
